Divine Truth Exhibition

The Divine Truth exhibition explores the resilience, strength, and divinity that emerge from adversity, particularly within Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) communities. Power often stems from histories of oppression and trauma, yet through struggle, deeper connections to truth and sacredness are forged.

Featuring ten mixed media paintings by artist Dulcinea Herrera, in collaboration with photographer FiveXMedia, this exhibition blends symbolism and biographical narratives. FiveXMedia photographed 11 individuals in Kansas City, serving as muses for Dulcinea’s work. Each painting highlights the beauty that arises from hardship, with gold leaf motifs symbolizing the sacred nature of struggle and the transformation of pain into power. Ultimately, Divine Truth celebrates courage, fortitude, and the profound divinity found in diversity.
